Tommy Yoder has loved animals his whole life. But it was Paxx — his first dog he cared for on his own — who changed everything. Paxx was a great dog at heart, but came with real behavioral challenges. Tommy found himself frustrated, embarrassed on walks, and feeling like he simply didn't understand the animal he loved.
Behavior modification is about understanding why they work the way they do — to alter their behavior from the inside out.
That frustration pushed Tommy deep into the world of dog psychology. What started as a personal mission became a passion, and then a profession. Through years of mentorship and study under multiple teachers and experts, he built a genuine, deep expertise in canine behavior.
He founded Organ Mountain K9 in 2021 — rooted right here in Las Cruces, shaped by the desert, and built on a love for dogs and the people who love them.
